Are you looking for another way to speed up the process of getting all those daily sales summary reports entered into your Quickbooks file? You know there has to be a better way to streamline every little process necessary to crunch the numbers, don’t you?

You can speed up data entry on your daily sales summary in Quickbooks by numbering each item in your item list that is entered on your daily sales summary. By doing so you won’t have to memorize all of the item list abbreviations or refer to your item list in the process of entering data. Click on the thumbnail to see an example of the numbered item list.

I do, however, recommend leaving the subtotal, total, and over/short items in alphabet format as they represent totals which are sometimes located in different areas of a sales summary. Be certain each begins with a different letter that’s easy for you to associate and remember.

Now you should be able to whip through those daily sales summaries in a snap and move on to the next task. Do anything you can that will help empty out the inbox on the corner of your desk and lower your stress level.
